From The Beatles to Rock n Roll

The British rock group The Beatles, formed in Liverpool in 1960, and an act of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed in the history of popular music. From 1962 the group consisting of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass, vocals), George Harrison (guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals). Skiffleand rooted in rock and roll in the 1950s, the group then worked in various genres from pop rock ballad topsychedelic, often combining elements of other traditional and innovative ways. The nature of their popularity, which has emerged as a mode "Beatlemania", the song has changed as they grow in sophistication. This group came to be regarded as a manifestation of progressive ideals, saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolution of the 1960s.
Initially, the five parts line-up of Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe (bass) and Pete Best (drums), the Beatles made their reputation in the club from Liverpool and Hamburg for three years from 1960. Sutcliffe left the band in 1961, Best was replaced by Starr in the following year. Molded into a professional outfit with a music store owner Brian Epstein, after having offered to act as group manager, and with the potential of their musical creativity producerGeorge improved with Martin, the Beatles mainstream success in Britain at the end 1962 with their first single, "Love Me Do". Gaining international popularity over the next year, they toured extensively until 1966, then retired to the studio until their breakup in 1970. Each success was later found in an independent music career. Lennon murderedoutside his home in New York in 1980, Harrison died of cancer in 2001. McCartney and Starr to remain active.
During the years of their studio, The Beatles produced what some critics consider their best material, including the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), widely considered a masterpiece. Forty years after their breakup, the music of the Beatles continue to be popular. The Beatles had more number one albums in the UK charts, and pressed the top position longer than any other musical act. According to the RIAA certifications, they sold more albums in the U.S. than any other artist. In 2008, Billboard magazine published a list of all-time best-selling Hot 100 artists to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the U.S. singles chart, with The Beatles at number one. They were honored with 7 Grammy Awards and have won 15 Ivor Novello Awards for British Academy of Authors, Composers and Authors. The Beatles collectively included in the compilation of Time magazine .
